After working in the Radio Industry since 1984, Maurice Starr came to understand the need for a professional DJ service that puts excellence and 100% customer satisfaction as its core values. With that in mind, Maurice Starr established Maurice Starr Entertainment in 1985 to provide upscale DJ and lighting services for the North and South Carolina market.

Maurice Starr aims to create the perfect atmosphere for you and your guests. As Maurice Starr states, "My goal is to provide a night for my client that is worry and stress free". My greatest success was stepping in when a wedding planner walked out on the bride and the groom. I was able to take control of an otherwise-disastrous situation and spun it around into a memorable wedding reception that the bride and her guests will always remember as the happiest day of their lives.
